| Wow... did it take me a long time just to figure out how to get back on this xanga thing. I do not know if anyone is reading these things or not, but I thought I would drop a line to say hello and wish everyone well. It is amazing to me how life can throw so many challenges, but even more AMAZING how God can give peace as one struggles through them!
As I read Romans chapter 8 it gives so much strength, encouragement and HOPE! So many times I do not know exactly what to say to God when in need. Many times I have requests, but lack the depth of the words to describe how I actually "feel." I need a deeper help to express to God where I am and what I am going through. This is another time that being a faithful Christian is such a powerful thing! The Spirit helps us in times of weakness. We are not left alone. With hope and the Spirit we can gain strength in time of weakness... Oh, the blessings God provides! "For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eargerly wait for it with perserverance. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercesson for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God." Rom. 8:24-27
God can guide us if we allow Him to. What an incredible blessing we have through Him and His promises. How are you doing in your walk? Are you allowing God to work through you? May God bless us as we stay focused on our purpose of being on this earth and making an IMPACT on those around us!
| It has been a while. I hope this post finds you doing FANTASTIC! As you know, life can throw you all sorts of challenges. In this challenge we have been coming up short on the results of the tumor... UNTIL NOW... we finally got our first review that shows a step towards the positive. The last MRI shows that the tumor had little growth, which means the treatment is having some positive effect. If this continues it could put me in the small percentile of total remission. Thank you for your continued prayers. I could not have made it this far without my brothers and sisters in Christ! I love you dearly!! | | |
| Greetings from Houston, TX. Things here are going well. I had my port put in and we go in every day for increased medication and training on how to use all of this stuff. I pray that all is going well for all of you. Set the example of Jesus in all you do! | | |
| I know it has been a while since I have posted anything on xanga, so I hope this finds all having a great morning, afternoon, evening or night depending on what time you are reading this. I have been reading some of the posts on many of your xangas and have been disappointed to see the words being used and the back drops that are displayed. I know that I am getting old, but I also know that God has not changed and He wants us to be different than the world. My prayer is that all of us will set the example of Christ and not just blend into the world. Are you just blending in or have you truly decided to stand with Christ? It will show in your actions so choose wisely! | | |
| Wow! What a great weekend we had at Winter Quest! It was great seeing everyone and I hope you were excited about seeing Ben and Lara from South Africa. As many of you now know they will be staying here with us for the next several weeks so we will have a great time catching up on old times with them.
Well, I must make this a short post because I am blessed to be a part of a wedding tomorrow for 2 very special people (Andrew and Laurin)! I need my beauty sleep... I know, I know... even beauty sleep is not going to help me, but I must give it a try!
Hope things are going well for you. Never forget Who you are living for!
